Mulch Sales

Korte Tree Care sells quality mulch.  We offer a variety of different types of mulch for landscaping and gardening needs.  Mulching or mulch laying is a useful method for preventing weed growth but is useful for retaining soil moisture during summer heat and also transfers micronutrients from the decomposing mulch into the soil.

The mulch can be spread year round.  Double ground mulch is finer and decomposes quicker but builds a rich soil faster.  Dyed mulch keeps it's color longer and decomposes more slowly.  Cedar mulch decomposes very slowly and can help keep pests at bay.  Unground wood chips are not as aesthetically pleasing but are more affordable and long lasting for garden paths and garden cover.  Keep in mind that it is not good for the soil to till mulch into the soil because the mulch will absorb nitrogen during decomposition.  Mulch makes a good soil top dressing.
